Top chefs will compete at Muiskfest in the Top Chef Culinary Challenge while raising awareness for the critical work of the Mark of Dimes. Chefs will receive a mystery box of inmgredients to prepare samples for a panel of local "celebrity" judges including Bill White of the Morning Call, Lenora Dannelke of LV Marketplace, Lisa Gott of Lehigh Valley Style, and Laura St James from 100.7 WLEV. WLEV's Mark Shepperd will be emceeing the event. The public is welcome and reserved seating is available to event sponsors. The winner will be announced at the end of the competition.

The first day of school is coming up quickly and parents across Pennsylvania are beginning to stock up on school supplies and clothing. Friday August 13th, marks the first ever Free School Supplies Event hosted by Tom Ring of Tom Ring's Brown Daub Kia, a car dealership in Easton, PA. According to Tom, his business will be using the "Everybody Study" Event as a way to give back to a community that has supported his family’s small business over the years. "Due to the tough economic conditions, I’ve seen lots of people that can’t afford to buy any school supplies. That’s why I'm giving away free school supplies to help the community. Plus, Moms and Dads don't have to waste valuable family time in the long lines at the department stores. They can spend that time with their children instead,” Ring said. "Many families are getting their back-to-school lists ready. I hope my 'Everybody Study' Free School Supplies Event will help a few folks down on their luck save a little money. And the event at the Easton KMart 320 South 25th St. in Easton, will help make sure that no one drops their kids off in an old clunker," said Ring. Over the past several years, this golf tournament has raised money to help the American Cancer Society save lives. Sponsored by the Rothrock Family, Tee Up For A Cure is a memorial for their daughter, sister, and mother, Debra Ann Rothrock-Chiaradia, who lost her battle to breast cancer five years ago.
